The VEREWA company was founded in 1939. It was based in Mülheim until 1997. After its integration into the DURAG GROUP, the company moved to Hamburg. In 2013 VEREWA Umwelt- und Prozessmesstechnik GmbH merged with DURAG GmbH. The brand VEREWA is continued.

Foundation of VEREWA Hans Ugowski & CO in Essen / Ruhr. The company's name stands for VEREWA sales, repair, maintenance of heat
engineering instruments.


1958

German Federal Patent 1129314 granted: thermocouple for temperature measurement circuit assignment - first fully electronic cold junction thermostat.


1964

Development of a dust measuring device based on the radiometric evaluation of dust collected on filter band. Licensing DBP 1213642. Dr. Fischötter. Prof. Dresia - device for determining the dust content of gases, especially exhaust.


1965

Market introduction of the F-703 Ambient Dust Monitor.


1989

Development of the Total Mercury Analyzer HM-1400S. License agreement with GSB. Society for disposal of hazardous waste in Bavaria
GmbH.


1996

Announcement of the suitability of the Total Mercury Analyzer HM-1400 for use in installations requiring a license, GMBI 1996 No. 28 Page 592. The measurement method uses a wet chemical method for the conversion of oxidized mercury compounds to elemental Mercury.


1997

Acquisition of VEREWA environmental and process measurement technology GmbH by DURAG GmbH. The company headquarters is
relocated from Mülheim / Ruhr to Hamburg. Kollaustrasse 105 to share resources with the DURAG GmbH.


2000

Launch of the Dust Monitor F-904-20 with PLC control, development of a variant for use in BFG and converter gas applications in steel plants.


2001

Development of a dry-powered converter for use in the Total Mercury Analyzer HM-1400 TR. Suitability announcement for use in installations requiring a license, GMBI 2001 No. 19 Page 386.

2006

Market launch at the enhanced Ambient Dust Monitor F-701-20 with touch screen and a modem control core, suitability announcement
for use as ambient dust monitor (PM10). GMBI 2006 No. 194 Page 6713.

2011

Development of the HM—1400 TRX that meets the requirements of the applicable European EN 15267. Suitability announcement of the
Automatic Total Mercury Analyzer (AMS) for use in installations requiring a license and proof of conformity of the device regarding EN 15267-3.
