New construction of HEGWEIN: A Factory for the future near Stuttgart

Since April 2020, operations commenced at HEGWEIN's new location in Korntal-Münchingen on the western outskirts of Stuttgart.

Korntal-Münchingen, 27^th of August, 2020 - In just 15 months, a modern combination of production facility and administration building was created here on an area of around 11,000 m². Dr. Schönheit + Partner, who were commissioned with the planning and realization of the construction project, call the new home of HEGWEIN a „factory for the future“.

The two-storey building with production hall, logistics area and offices for administration is located on an area of more than 4,200 m². The entrance area has been particularly emphasized architectural with a floor-spanning panel in the corporate yellow colour. The generous use of windows allows a view into the production and office areas.

"Our bright, friendly rooms in production and administration with an open office structure support employee satisfaction and thus the quality of work considerably", explains HEGWEIN Managing Director Rainer Böcher. "The target-oriented production process from goods receipt to dispatch, which is tailored to our needs, ensures efficient production of our individual items and small series". After startup of the production at the new location, the advantages of the integrated solution of a factory structure planning with adapted industrial architecture from Dr. Schönheit + Partner are evident.

The cooperation during the planning, during the construction phase up to commissioning is described as very positive by all those involved.
