The D-VTA 200 Thermography Analysis System is designed to work with all  digital DURAG furnace sensors. One or more DURAG furnace sensors can be connected to one D-VTA 200 System.

Together with a DURAG furnace sensor, the software delivers online temperature distributions directly from the combustion chamber. The temperature range and the resolution depend on the used type of furnace sensor.

Depending on the application different analysing software modules are available.

  • Enhance combustion efficiency
    Depending on the boiler type and used fuels it is possible to optimise the temperature distribution. Depending on the installation position it is possible to see deposit build-up and soot on the walls.
      
  • Less tube ruptures, reduced down time
    The detection and optimisation of the fireball will help to have less tube ruptures, because the partially high temperatures on the boiler tubes flames will be reduced.
  • Optimisation aid for changing of load or fuels
    Many fossil fuel boilers have to change their loads many times a week and has to go down below 25% of load. In this low conditions a DURAG furnace sensor can be used to monitor the lower elevations and visualise instabilities of the flames. Also the system can be used for faster fuel changes, i.e. from oil to coal.

The D-VTA 200 Fireball software module is designed for usage in tangential fired boiler.

The software calculates the position of the fireball and draws the position in the thermo image. The actual position can be compared with a defineable optimum position.

The values can be sent via a process connection to the DCS and can be used to optimise the combustion.
