D-IFS
DURAG Integrated Firing System
D‑IFS (DURAG Integrated Firing Solution) is a modular, engineered system for optimized and safe operation of industrial combustion systems. It integrates ignition and/or pilot burner technology with burner control, fuel, and air supply into a single, coordinated firing solution.
Integrated system concept
D‑IFS is engineered as a complete firing system, combining all required subsystems to ensure compatibility, safety, and reliable operation:
- Ignition or pilot burner with integrated flame monitoring (ionization or optical)
- Control cabinet with integrated burner management system (BMS)
- Gas supply installation (gas trains)
- Combustion air supply system
System configuration is adapted to the burner design, fuel type, operating philosophy, and applicable standards.
Benefits
- Integrated, reliable firing solution
D‑IFS combines ignition and/or pilot burner, control system, fuel supply, and combustion air system into one coordinated firing solution. Ensures reliable ignition, stable flame operation and optimized combustion across the complete firing sequence - Engineered to fit – not adapted after delivery
Each D‑IFS is engineered from the outset to match the customer’s burner geometry, fuel concept, process conditions, and regulatory requirements. This minimizes on‑site modifications and ensures first‑time‑right integration. - Single‑source responsibility for the complete firing system
One supplier delivers the complete ignition solution — igniter and pilot burner, control cabinet, gas trains, air supply, and interfaces. Reduces coordination effort, clarifies accountability, and lowers project risk. - Optimized interaction of all system components
All firing components are selected and designed to work together seamlessly. This prevents mismatched interfaces, improves ignition reliability, and enhances long‑term operational stability. - High operational safety for industrial combustion systems
The integrated burner management system (BMS) controls all safety‑relevant functions, including ignition sequencing, flame monitoring, valves control, valve leak detection, and pressure monitoring. Ensures safe operation during start‑up and continuous firing. - Reduced project complexity and faster implementation
Standardized system architecture and pre‑engineered interfaces simplify procurement, installation, and commissioning, reducing total project execution time. - Easier commissioning and predictable start‑up behavior
Coordinated system logic and clearly defined safety sequences enable smooth commissioning and reproducible ignition behavior, even in complex firing systems. - Higher availability and reduced unplanned downtime
Matched components, integrated safety logic, and optimized design reduce start-up times, combustion failures, and maintenance interventions. - Simplified maintenance and service support
Harmonized components, clear system structure, and consistent documentation simplify troubleshooting, spare parts management, and long‑term maintenance planning. - Modular and future‑ready system design
The modular architecture allows system extensions, fuel changes, or control upgrades without redesigning the complete firing solution. - German engineering, global compliance
Designed to meet highest European standards (CE) and recognized worldwide across Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East. Enables global project execution while respecting local codes and engineering practices.
